Chapter 10. Twist of Fate

The past few days had passed in a blur.

I was finally settling in.

For the first time in forever, I had people I could call friends. Lily. Julian. Rose.

It was something I had always craved.

But lately, I found myself craving something else.

Or rather… someone.

Aries.

I hadn’t seen him in days, and it was annoying how much I felt his absence.

Why do I even care?

I pushed the thought away, blaming it on the stress of trying to figure out my powers with Rose.

Since I told her the truth, she had been completely on board with helping me.
