Chapter 45. He’s in Our House

Kade’s POV

Anna was sleeping on the couch, Masons head bobbed down as he nodded off in the chair and Cara was the only one other than myself still sifting through mounts of information.

I was glad that Anna finally slept and I didn’t want her to wake up. She needed the rest and if, when I got Layla back, her friend wasn’t healthy I was screwed.

The sun was rising and the house was waking up. Pups were heading off to school screaming outside the windows. The gates were now open for anyone to come and go as they pleased but they were rarely inside the house, they stayed on the parks and vicinities around it.

“What time is it?”

“Six,” I said and looked at my sister.

She yawned and tossed me a book.
