Chapter 95. Are You and Mommy Done Playing?

Ethan’s POV

I wait until Emma is sleeping soundly beside me before I slide out of the bed. As I reach the door she lets out a little whimper as she reaches out to where I was sitting but she rolls over and goes back to sleep.

As I walk out of the door I look at the name that is flashing on my phone’s screen. It is Alpha Duncan.

“Hey,” I say as I answer the phone. “How’s the pack?”

“Your pack is fine,” Duncan replies shortly. “You were right. There hasn’t been an attack since you locked up your Beta and his bitch.”

“That’s what I thought,” I growl as I walk down the stairs. “Do you mind if I use your office for a bit?”

“Only if you answer one question before we hang up,” Duncan says almost cheerfully.

“Of course,” I respond.

“Why did I feel a tether to my pack break a few hours ago?” Duncan asks me with an edge to his voice.

“Oh,” I say as I scratch the back of my neck awkwardly. “That was probably Emma.”
