“Thank you, and please take care on the way back,” I say to Adam after getting out of his car, clutching tight to the bag of the shopping he did for me. And don’t you dare say anything. He just stopped in a mall to get something for his house on his way here, and he just surprised me with this. It would have been so rude for me to decline, right?
I can feel the countless eyes unblinking on me from all the corners. People might be wondering what I am doing in this ghetto with such a rich guy in my life. I understand their bafflements, but the good thing is, no one would dare ask me a thing. I have not gotten close to anyone, except my annoying new who was knocking on my door the day in the middle of the night. I didn’t care to even ask behind the closed door what her problem was.
“Take care. Until next time. Say hi to Lyana for me,” Adam says, and after getting a nod from me, he steps on the pendle and drives off, waving goodbye to me.
