Leah blissfully watched her son play with their newly acquired puppy. Her sister Dianne gave it to Bradley as his companion, and theoretically, boys with dogs grew up to be responsible. The dachshund was energetic, sweet, and friendly with Bradley, but, of course, adult supervision would be required when the toddler was playing with the puppy.
Watching Bradley reminded her of Justin. Recently, she didn’t make herself visible to him because, honestly, she was scared that he would be true to his word and would fight for Bradley’s custody.
