Chapter 24

Violet POV

I looked around but noticed that Tyler and Gavin had already scurried out of the waiting area, just like the other hospital staff.

And I was glad nobody had seen the way my cheeks had turned pink again.

I quickly looked away from Elijah who simply began walking towards the door again. I groaned, I didn’t have the strength to fight him.

So, I watched him push the door away and mumbled.

“Fine, do what you want. But when Cassie wakes up and asks me where her brother is, I am going to tell her that he went ahead to do exactly what he didn’t want you to do. That you don’t practice what you preach.”

My heart was hammering loudly. I had poked and prodded the bad wolf far too many times. But I was done playing nice.
