It was not suitable for Aurelia and her mate to enter through the back door with me, so I went alone after Aurelia had promised to set a camp close to the mansion

The instant I entered through the route that led into the mansion, the mating bond that had initially been faint began to appear.

Tears welled in my eyes, and I almost could not stop myself from rushing over. But I knew I had to be careful. I was not sure if Karla had her people here.
