“Have I seen you before?” Alpha Bronson questioned condescendingly. Like before, he grabbed my chin and forced me to raise my head. I didn’t dare to meet his gaze, fearing that I would sell myself off.

“Answer me!” He spat, his hold tightening around my jaw and his fingers dug into my skin. Pain flared around the spot and I hurried to shake my head.

“N…no. No, my lord. I was just brought last night.” I answered timidly just as he took away his hand on her face.

He lapsed into silence for a few minutes as if he were thinking about something or trying to confirm if I was speaking the truth.

After a while, he finally spoke up. “Very well. Since that’s the case, have her given twenty strokes of whip as punishment. Next time, she will not dare to try to escape.” He instructed the guards, and they nodded.
