Chapter 10. Having Fun

Noelle’s POV

Roan puts a kiss on my forehead, “I have some things I need to do but I will come back later to check on you. You should try to get some more rest. I will ask Maya to keep you company in the meantime.”

I still feel very tired, so I fall asleep soon after he leaves. The next couple of days Roan visits me as much as he can, we talk about the village, and he tells me stories about him and Julias. After three days I finally feel like I have some energy again and my magic is slowly coming back. I have thought about the attack a lot and I have decided that I must be strong. I can’t let some nasty bastards get me down.

I had just gotten out of the shower when Roan walks into the room. “Oh, good you are up,” he says.
