Chapter 7
Serena POV
I didn’t know what I’d have done at that point. I was sure I had never heard that voice before, but the person happened to know my name.
I put a hand over my eyes and squinted at the glaring lights. I could see about four chopper motorcycles with ape hanger bars, and there were people mounted on them.
A normal person would have turned tail and fled. A normal person would have called for help as they fled for their life but I wasn’t particularly normal, I admit that. I slowly began to approach the motorcycles and tried to get a better view of the men.
“Who are you?!” I called. “How do you know who I am?”
“That’s as far as you can get, lady!” A deep voice growled from the men, and I came to an abrupt stop.
If the motorcycles and the way they chose to stay in the shadow didn’t spell out danger, the voice definitely did so, and I knew I was supposed to run, but surprisingly, I didn’t.
