Chapter 10. First Love

Evander and Genus are estimating each other’s scrutiny. It’s like they’re battling with their eyes. Gwen could only sigh and control her anger, but she could not just let this slide again. This scene has been happening for every man she meets, and every single time Evander butts in like he’s really her lover, which he is not.

Gwendolyn’s famous poker face surfaced, and Genus, who knew what it meant, suddenly averted his gaze so he could avoid this woman’s wrath. Evander found himself clueless as to why the man in front of him withdrew like an obedient little mutt. But when he felt a murderous stare beside him, he felt like all his strength left his body when he saw how furious his Zosia was right now. For him, who experienced it firsthand, he could not help but concede and lower his head.
