Even slightly stunned, Miguel nodded and indicated my heart with his head to Kleyphon. Silent and still desperate for Divine forgiveness, Kleyphon went to my car, and settled in the back seat along with Miguel. Anne and Zylah cast glances of doubt in the direction of the only back seat, which would put one of them next to a still bloody and tearful archangel. They decided with a single look that they would rather sit on each other's lap than be next to the men, so I took the direction and took everyone home.

The silence inside the car was as charged as the air. And even with the windows closed, everyone could smell Kleyphon's strong blood.
