Chapter 76

Danika's car came to a halt in front of an apartment building, and she let out a deep sigh as she gazed up at the structure. She hesitated for a moment, her mind racing with a mix of emotions, before finally stepping out of the vehicle and making her way towards the entrance. She typed in the password, and the door swung open with a soft click, revealing the dimly lit hallway beyond.

As she stepped inside, a voice echoed from the kitchen.

"What are you doing here, Danika?" Caleb's tone was laced with a hint of annoyance, and Danika's heart skipped a beat as she replied.

"Can't a friend visit anymore?" Her words were laced with a hint of sarcasm, but Caleb's expression remained unyielding as he emerged from the kitchen, his eyes narrowing slightly.

Danika's pout deepened, her eyes pleading for forgiveness. 

"Are you still angry with me, Caleb? I said I'm sorry." Her voice was laced with a hint of desperation, but Caleb's response was unforgiving.
