Camila tilted her head slightly, catching the glint of the club’s dim lights against the glass as it was set before her. The bartender nodded subtly toward the end of the bar, where a tall, striking figure leaned with casual grace. “Courtesy of the gentleman over there,” he said, his voice barely audible over the thumping bass and chatter of the crowd.
“Let me guess, Mr. Armani Model thinks he can get my attention with a free Cosmo?” Camila quipped, her lips curving into a half-smile. She lifted the drink, her eyes playfully scanning the distant admirer before taking a measured sip. The citrus tang was crisp, refreshing, and sharp—much like the feeling of anticipation curling through her chest.
