Issahil's POV

The moon hung high in the sky, casting an eerie glow over the landscape of the emperor palace.

Hidden within the underbrush near the palace's perimeter, my father, Guardian wolf Caleb, Guardian wolf Elena, Guardian wolf Finn, Alpha Matthias, Hudson and myself, waited for the group of elite guards patrolling the grounds to pass by.

We moved swiftly and tactfully as soon as they were gone, our shadows dancing along the walls of the emperor's palace.
