Chapter 112. Ominous Feeling

Issahil's POV

“Oh my baby…You have been put through a lot. I am so sorry I am just showing up now. Mother is so sorry, Erlind. Forgive me…”

Sobbing profusely, I held him even more closely against my bosom. My heart was aching because of the state he was in but it did feel less heavy, now that I had him in my arms.

His sleeping expression, which had been pained, gradually softened. They must have given the babies something to put them all to sleep, I deduced, and that must be why they were all sleeping.

Sniffling as tears pooled in my eyes anew, I hugged Erlind even tighter.

Finally! Finally my baby Erlind was in my arms again. Oh I would never let him out of my sight again…

My heart was overwhelmed with various emotions. Relief. Joy. Pain. Fear. Uncertainty. Determination. But most of all I felt whole. The piece of me that had been missing, I had him with me no
