“You should go ahead now Hudson and let your lover know that I said hi.” I literally moved towards Hudson and shoved him away so he could leave. 

Freya let out a nervous chuckle as soon as he was gone. “You are not the lover?”

I rolled my eyes at her. “Shocking, right? And even if I were the lover, don't you realize you were just hitting on him?”

“I wasn't,” she denied. “I was simply being nice to him and acting all interested because I thought you two were going out.”

I definitely didn't believe her but I decided to not drag the matter any further. 

“What are you doing here, anyway? And you were all tears earlier, what happened?”

A heavy breath escaped her lips and her expression fell. “Can I stay here for the night, please?” The tears pooled her eyes again.
