Ronnell’s POV
Blair stopped on the other side of the fence, which only came up to the middle of her thighs. “Hello everyone. It’s so nice to see you here.”
Sarah hopped up, glancing around at the surrounding tables. “We were actually just talking about you. Why don’t you come join us? Surely, we can find you another chair.
William pushed away from the table. “It’s cool. I can just stand. It helps with digestion anyway. And everyone knows that cakes are easier to munch on while standing.”
Blair waved them off, giggling softly. “I don’t think that’s a great idea, you all seem to be having fun. I don’t want to drag you down to my miserable state.” Her cheeks were flushed, and she avoided looking at me. She’d done a lot of that the last few weeks. Avoidance was her new format.
“Are you trying to be funny, you look nothing like that—” Sarah cooed. “Please, come sit with us.”
