I sighed, before staring deep into his eyes. I honestly didn’t have any clear idea why he was acting this way but fine, I was going to give him what he was asking for. “Alright, we should absolutely go back to how things were before.” I placed my hands on my lap, smiling pleasantly. It was a good show while it lasted. “But wait, which before are we even talking about? The one where we met at your sister’s engagement? When you asked me to stay at your house? How about before you started keeping a nice note on my breakfast plate every morning, Ronnell?”
