Chapter 20. What’s Going On?

Shimma’s POV

A loud yawn escaped from my lips as I stretched my hands and legs.

I turned to glance at the wall clock, a loud gasp escaped my mouth as my eyes flew open in shock.

It was fifteen minutes past eight. And I was meant to be at work by eight. Shit!

I quickly jumped off the bed as I rushed my way into the bathroom.

I was in a hurry and I couldn’t have breakfast. I got outside, realizing I had left my car at the office yesterday.

I stared at my wrist watch. It was already a few minutes to nine. This was useless. Going to work today would be useless. Mr. Mattias might get angry at me for showing up to work late on my second day. Or he might not. I don’t know, I just feel it’s wrong.

I barely slept last night. Due to the incident with my father last night. Speaking of my father.
