Shimma’s POV

“Uhh, a whisper?” I mumbled, turning back toward my room and then back to my mother. I forced a smile.

“I wasn’t whispering. I was watching a movie, and then I fell asleep. Is there a problem?” I cleared my throat. She looked at me suspiciously.

“No, there’s no problem. I noticed your lamp was still on, and I thought you might be having trouble sleeping because of what Blake did to you,” my mother mumbled.

I rolled my eyes. I was beginning to get fed up with the sound of that bastard’s name. And the last thing I wanted to feel bad about was Blake leaving me for his ex-girlfriend. In fact, that was the best thing he had ever done for me. To hell with his ex!
