Chapter 13. Shhhhh

Mattias’s POV

“What’s that?” she asked. I could see the curiosity in her eyes.

“Uhmm, Shimma, I…” I stuttered, looking away from her because I couldn’t find the right words. How do I tell her this?

“Knock, knock.”

I heard someone knock. I got up and headed for the door. I opened it, surprised to see Shimma’s mother.

“Hi, Mattias,” she greeted with a wide grin.

“M-Mrs. Anna,” I stuttered as she furrowed her brows.

“Mattias, you look worried. Aren’t you expecting to see me?” Mrs. Anna asked.

“Come in, Mrs. Anna. Shimma has been waiting for you,” I said with a smile, paving the way for her to enter.

Shimma got up as they both approached each other for a hug.

“Cupcake, I have missed you so much,” Mrs. Anna said.

“I’ve missed you too, Mum. But why did you leave without informing me?” Shimma asked.

“I’m sorry, honey. It was an urgent meeting for me and your dad. I’m sure your uncle Mattias told you,” she said.<
