Chapter 74. Rafael’s Favorite Daughter

“My darling daughter,” Aleah said softly as she took the baby in her arms and held her. Until the crying started to subside.

It was always like that. Her daughter would only sleep for a very short time and then go back to crying, leaving Aleah a little overwhelmed. During her time as a mother, she also became sleep-deprived and could not sleep at all. It’s a tough phase and one that takes a lot of patience, but Aleah still enjoys it.

“No matter what, being a mother is a gift that I have been craving for a long time. Just because I don’t get enough sleep, I can’t give up,” Aleah said quietly to herself.

She patiently checked the diaper that was bulging from being full, then deftly changed the baby’s diaper. She gave a warm smile as she gazed at the puffy face of baby Athena who had been crying continuously today.

“Are you comfortable now, Mama’s beautiful child?” Aleah asked in a humorous tone. She smiled gently at her beautiful daughter who had stopped crying
