Chapter 18
As appealing as what her male had said to her was, she was not yet willing to give up her freedom; the fear of the unknown was too great, even if she would be in the arms of her male.
But right now, she was starting to weigh her decision. She needed to be certain they were on the same page when it came to dealing with the Order. If she let him mark her, which she was sure he would the first chance he got, and she was also sure she would not mind it, he would be able to control her thoughts and actions because the mate bond would not let her disobey him.
As soon as her sister left she contacted her male, it was now or never. She had a few hours before she had to take the concoction or risk creating a new one, her sisters would be in danger if she did not do her part of the ritual. That was how they protected each other, even as strangers.
