Chapter 53

Liam turned abruptly and was greeted with the view that was his female’s tired but radiant smile. He gave her a small smile in return. He knew he was pushing her limits, heck, he too was exhausted from spending the whole day behind the steering wheels and at the crazy speed that he was driving at. But her safety came first.

He blessed the moon goddess in his heart that now that he thought about it, all through the trip there was no complaint from her. She never voiced her discomfort; he did not even hear her sigh. She kept mute as though she knew that if she gave vent to her obvious tiredness, he would have stopped the vehicle a lot sooner than he would have stopped now.

He climbed back into the vehicle and kissed her forehead gently. He was rewarded with her wrapping her arms around his neck tightly. He returned the hug immediately; he realized that he, too, needed that at the moment. He was going to let her sleep after he gave her what he packed from the house for her
