Selena woke up in the night. The place where she was was different from where she went to sleep. She realized she was placed in a room, and Liam was sitting on the other side of the room with his head bowed.

He did not look comfortable, and she was almost certain that he was asleep if the steady rise and fall of his chest was anything to go by.

She lifted her hand and was happy not to feel the immense pain she was feeling earlier. She decided to be brave and sit up on her own. The first groan that left her lips was all Liam needed to be by her side, eyes glowing and all.

She thought she was supposed to be scared, but she found it endearing. That did not come out right, but that was what she was going to be going with.
