Then she blinked. After that blink, she saw that she had imagined the whole scenario of her shifting into her wolf and taking the gun away from Levi. There was no way that she was that skillful and trained. 

Clary stood there and watched the look of absolute defeat on Levi’s face. Tears were already flowing down her cheeks. She had never been in a situation like this before, it was terrifying and she did not even know the right words to say or the right things to do. 

Levi had the safety off and he finger played lightly with the trigger. He was sobbing and his chest burned. He felt so much sadness and he just wanted to feel some peace.
