Chapter 95
The beeping of the machine in the hospital room could be heard clearly as Clary stared at her mom, waiting for any kind of response.
“Wait, you said something,” Sarah tried to sit up, her mind trying to chew on what she had just heard her daughter say. “You said that the Moon goddess spoke to you?”
Clary nodded and swallowed. She had a feeling that maybe her mom was not going to believe her. And if she did not, Clary could not blame her, they were talking about a literal goddess.
“And you believe her?” Sarah asked Tony when she was seated on the bed. She maintained eye contact with the boy.
Tony smiled shyly, and glanced at Clary before looking back at Clary’s mom and replying, “Yeah, I do, yeah.”
“Mmmm,” Sarah mumbled, and then a tiny smile corrupted her lips. She looked back at her daughter. “You know, I always used to think that I was crazy. When I was your age, the Moon goddess spoke to me too.”
