"I just want to talk for a minute," Nicolas replied, his face looking serious.

"Just tell me," Celine agreed.

"About Devano... is he really your husband now?"

Celine smiled slightly, then sighed. "Not yet, but he and I are getting married soon," Celine replied casually, "Why is that?" Celine asked sarcastically.

Nicolas felt his heart stabbed again at that answer. "Celine, I want... I want to explain something to you. I know it probably won't change anything, but I have to say it."

"What are you going to explain, Nico?" asked Celine but remained resolute.

Before Nicolas could continue, Ruby arrived and immediately took Nico's arm.

"Nico, honey, come with me," she said as she took Nicolas' arm, as if to get her husband away from Celine.

Nicolas looked at Ruby for a moment, then looked back at Celine with mixed feelings. "Celine, I hope you are happy. I really wish you all the best," he said in a regretful tone.

However, before Cel
