Chapter 67

Nico smiled faintly, trying to shake off the uncomfortable feeling that came over her. "No, I'm coming," she replied as she got into the car.  

Along the way, Elissa told stories cheerfully. About her work, about her vacation plans abroad, and a little about Nico's life. But Nico only listened while occasionally smiling or nodding.  

"Today you should really rest, Nico. No topics about domestic matters, okay?" Elissa said as she glanced at him playfully.  

"Okay, boss," Nico replied with a small chuckle.  

Before long, they arrived at a popular restaurant. Nico didn't pay attention to the name of the restaurant, just followed Elissa's steps inside.  

However, as he stepped further into the room, his eyes were immediately drawn to a table in the corner.

She was sitting there with Bryan. They seemed to be talking seriously, but every now and then Bryan would smil
