Hope's POV
As soon as I finished training with the recruits, I felt Dylan holding me by the arm, somewhat forcefully.
"We need to talk." His tone of voice was meant to leave no room for contradiction.
"Dylan, if this happened a month ago, what do you think would have happened?" I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. "I don't want to hurt you. I don't want to send you to the infirmary, and the gods know I don't want to reject you," I spoke low, a whisper, but I know he can hear, surely he realized the difficulty I was having controlling myself. "Yes, we need to talk. But no, that's not going to happen now or in the next few days. So how about you leave me alone until I'm ready to talk? Because honestly, my current thoughts are to attack you and send you to the infirmary, attack you and kill you, or reject you. Do you want to test my patience now?"
"You want it or not, Hope. I'm part of this too, do you think it's easy for me not to attack you too? Not attack
