Chapter 56. Surprise!
“Just nine months… only nine months left,” she kept whispering to herself as she paced back and forth in her room. Like a remoted doll, Bushra trooped to her bedside and picked up her phone. She dialed his number again — it wasn’t going through. He must’ve blocked her. For the past seven days, she has called Muhammad to explain herself but he never picks up her calls or return any of her texts. It was torturing. She’d prefer if he yells at her, say mean and hurtful words to her, rant out his anger to her than go completely silent.

She tossed the phone across the bed and plumped down, heaving a sigh of frustration.
