Adrian’s arm is locked tightly around Lucia’s throat, pulling her back against his chest so hard her toes are barely touching the floor.

​Neither David nor Elias can get a clean shot with Lucia held between them and Adrian, the gun pressed hard against her temple, his stance too controlled and too practiced to leave an opening.
