Chapter 37

“David, what are you doing here?” I ask, as he just smiles down at me.

“You’re the one who came to one of my clubs.”

“Your club?” I question, and he nods as the bartender puts my drink down in front of me.

David shakes his head at the bartender, who then just disappears. Apparently, I’m not paying for this one. As I look back at him, my brain clicks. “Marcus didn’t recommend this place by chance, did he?”

“No, he didn’t.”

“If I didn’t like you so much, I’d say you were a stalker,” I scoff, picking up my drink and starting to walk off.

“You also,” he says, catching my arm and tugging me back, “told me to finish my meeting early and meet you. So I did.”

“Oh, really? You ended your meeting to come and dance with me and Selena?”
