Kylan’s POV
Training underwater was fucking weird.
My fire magic, which normally responded to my emotions like breathing, felt dampened and sluggish in the ocean depths. Every time I tried to summon flames, they flickered and died almost immediately, suffocated by the surrounding water.
"This is useless," I muttered, shifting to my wolf form instead.
At least that worked underwater, thanks to Briar’s magic maintaining a breathable environment around us. My russet wolf shook itself, water droplets somehow still managing to cling to my fur despite being submerged.
