"You’re sure about this?" Kai asked for the third time as we approached the coordinates Luna had seen in her vision before the spell.
"As sure as I can be," I replied, adjusting the crown on my head. It had become almost comfortable, like a part of me rather than something I wore.
Malachar’s fortress materialized from the mist ahead—a twisted structure that seemed to exist partially in our world and partially in some darker dimension. Dark magic radiated from it in waves that made even my crown-enhanced abilities recoil.
