Chapter 36. The Date
Approximately one minute has passed now, and Kian and I are yet to say a word. This is the highest level of awkwardness between us and I curse Alora for thinking that a date can help us, because this is only making me nervous.
“You didn’t tell me that you’d be taking me out so that you can admire my beauty.”
“Apologies my dearest wife, but I don’t know a thing or two about dates.”
“You’re joking. Tell me you’re joking.”
He remains mute.
“How’s that even possible? You dated a lot of females before me.”
“The press made you believe I did, I didn’t. I did try going on one before, but it didn’t last for five minutes before we were at each other’s throats.”
“That’s disgusting. What about high school? No girlfriend?”
“I had, but I changed them the way you women change your nails.”
I punch him in the arm. “Kian!”
He smiles. “What about you? Been on any dates?”
“Yeah, but I don’t think I would call them dates.”
