"I've taken to mentoring April in the ways of business," Kelly explained. "She has real star quality, which I think you already understand, John. Since I have to abandon you for dinner, she's agreed to repay my generosity by keeping you company." She next turned to April and said, "Darling, he is a real find. I don't think you'll find this assignment very difficult." The phrasing made me curious, but I cast that aside for the time being.
