"Okay," she said, now seeing the situation as grave. "Are we breaking up?"

I smiled and hugged her. "No, Kitty Kat," I said. "But I do want to talk to you about it. I have some ideas. And I think that, even if meeting her again was completely out of the blue, this might really work to our advantage."
