Chapter 60. Brothers Reconcile

Stefan’s POV

Fuck. I still have feelings for her. When she was on top of me, tackling me to the ground with a newfound strength that I was certainly not expecting. She has definitely grown stronger, and I feel a pang of hurt in my chest. Not stronger than me, of course. I would never go all in with Snow because I can’t think of hurting her.

I’m just sad that I wasn’t there to see it. To see her grow into who she is today. To see her get so strong. And while she was on me, I felt something. That thing I felt the first time I kissed her, that thing I felt the first I realized I love her.

“Hey.” I’m startled as Estella joins me in the small cabin’s kitchen. “What’s up?” she asks, her voice oddly calm and quiet. Estella is never quiet.

“Nothing, I just need some water,” I say, turning my back to her, hoping she doesn’t see the lie written on my face.
