Chapter 37. Child's Name
Luna's POV
Wendy pushed the man in a wheelchair, who was staring at me with a gloomy expression. Wendy, on the other hand, showed no emotion when she looked at me. Their focus was all on me, and she gazed down at Adonis’ hand gripping mine. Because I was concerned that Wendy was incorrect about our position, I attempted to remove it, but Adonis refused.
I’m afraid I can’t defend myself, especially after what happened to Adonis and me. I knew it was a mistake on Wendy’s side, but I knew it was all I wanted. Even though I tried to convince myself that I was sorry for what had transpired, I couldn’t. The only thing bothering me is my feelings for Adonis. If I hadn’t sent in the words and heat of my body, I wouldn’t have been crushed today.
“Let go of my hand! What?!” I fight to get his hand off of me, but he won’t let go. We have practically pulled down the steps. It was so terrifying that I thought I may fall.
