Chapter 38. Kneel
Luna's POV
We are now seated at a table that is so exquisite that you would believe it was set for a special occasion. If at all feasible, I will sell this table and give the earnings to charity. As I listen to him, I smell the seafood. I lifted the shrimp and held it up to the light as if surprised. I had no idea the color of the cooked shrimp was so lovely...I couldn't see the skin before it was delivered to me.
The man in front of me groaned as if frustrated since I was more focused on the meal in front of me than on what he was saying. My gut hurt more than I could describe. I'm not sure why that is in my head. Even though we just ate, I'm starving.
"All right, explain. I'll listen." I say, even though my mouth is full. Raymond, you see, is joking and staring at me. I raised an eyebrow at them, but they swiftly diverted their attention while still laughing. I ate potatoes one after the other while wondering about what I would eat next.
