Audrey

My internship has been going on for a few days now and I've had a lot to do since day one. We cut up many of the previous designs from the owner's sister, who was out of the country for a while because of her mother and are now using the fabric for new dresses.

When a mother and daughter come into the shop, I smile and ask them to sit down. "How can I help you?" I ask and the mother smiles.

"My daughter's birthday is in a few weeks and she wants a pink princess dress. But we haven't found anything she likes in all the shops, so I hope someone here can help me."

I nod get some books with fabric samples and show them the colors and types of fabric we have.

The girl chooses three fabrics and I show her with larger samples what can be done. The girl explains what she wants and I sketch before I take the measurements and clarify a few things with the mother.

As soon as the mother has agreed, I get to work and put together a patt
