Silence and darkness still enveloped the entire living room as Marsha went out of her room. Her little body started to tremble as her eyes darted to the other door, where her Nanny Anna was asleep inside. She stood in her direction for a few seconds, checking if she’d heard any noise from that room.

When she confirmed the silence, indicating that her nanny was still asleep, she began to walk on her tiptoes... slowly and quietly until she was able to reach the front door.
