Chapter 192. Little Girl’s Voice
Two weeks later...Ethan could not understand why he felt more suspicious of Ellaine. He would always hear the woman speaking and arguing with someone over the phone. It sounded so serious but whenever he would try to eavesdrop, Ellaine would end up catching him in the act. The woman even tried to argue with him the last time it happened.
For some reason, he felt as if Ellaine was hiding something from him. He wanted to confront her, but a part of him was telling him he had to trust her, as, after all, she was the only person he had in his darkest times. She didn’t leave him, despite being blind and having amnesia.
The sound of the water pouring from the bathroom caught his attention. Ellaine was taking a bath while Ethan was sitting on the edge of the bed, holding his cane and thinking of a plan—a plan for him to remember everything so all the questions above his head would all be answered, and so he’d not be suspicious of his wife. At some point, it was making him guilt
