Michelle was only able to swear in her head. Her chest swelled and she glared fiercely at her husband.

She stayed speechless and just stared up at Ethan, who was obviously getting eaten up by his high emotions. She couldn't understand why he had to meddle in her affairs, let alone wreck her plans by announcing that they were married and breaking the contract's rules.

She caught her breath. Clenching her hand, she mustered the courage to speak up.

"You don’t understand where I am coming from." She shook her head. "That’s why it’s easy for you to say that. I clearly told you before that I wanted to protect my reputation, but what did you do? You signed the contract and yet you breached it yourself—"
