Chapter 29. The Eavesdropper

Madeline eavesdropped as she stood by the door to Lord Darius’ room, her ears stretching as she listened to Lord Darius and that bitch, Brielle’s moans.

She had crept from her bedroom to Lord Darius’s chambers after learning from one of the maids that Brielle’s session would be held there.

Luring the guards standing by the hallway away, she had baited them with a sweet baked pie she had left in the kitchen, and as the three men scampered away, she had watched them with a smirk.

Then she sauntered to the large door that housed Lord Darius’s chambers and proceeded to eavesdrop.

As she listened, Madeline’s mind wandered as different thoughts assailed her.

Lord Darius had seemingly abandoned the rest of the submissives for Brielle, especially her since she was new, and she didn’t like this at all.
