“Wait!” Logan’s voice cut through the air like a knife, sharp and commanding.
I froze, my hand trembling, the substance mere inches from my lips. My breath hitched, and I stopped halfway, holding perfectly still. For a moment, I didn’t dare move, unsure of what was coming next.
Logan stepped forward, his gaze locked onto mine, intense and unyielding. “Don’t put that in your mouth,” he said, his tone firm.
I lowered my hand slowly, my heart pounding like a drum. Relief washed over me in a wave, and I let out a shaky breath. “You… you don’t want me to taste it?”
