Layla's POV
“Because I miss her too!” he whined. “She’s my favorite aunt!”
I chuckled, glancing over at Maddie, who was sitting across from me, watching me with an amused expression.
“Well, you just made her day,” I told him, laughing.
Little Jason giggled again. “Can I talk to her?”
I smiled and passed the phone to Maddie, watching as her face lit up.
As they spoke, I leaned back against the couch, listening to my son’s happy voice, letting it drown out all the unwanted thoughts about Logan.
Life was so damn unfair.
