Dani's POV

She leaned against the armrest, her amusement still lingering. “Isabella already did what she wanted to do. She already separated Layla and Logan.”

I felt my body stiffen. “What do you mean?”

Maddie sighed, like she was about to explain something obvious to a child. “Layla knows Logan is married.”

I stared at her, my mind trying to process the information.

“What?”

Maddie nodded. 

“Yeah. Isabella and I have already worked together on that. We used an anniversary dinner to expose Logan. We made sure Layla saw everything…the happy couple, the perfect husband, the devoted wife.” She scoffed. 

“And trust me, it broke her. Since then, she’s been staying away from Logan.”

I sat back, processing what she just said.

I had spent all this time worrying about Layla getting hurt, about Isabella making her move, only to find out that the damage had already been done.

Layla already knew.
